A little tour of St. Germain

Today Mr. Ron took me on a little tour of St. Germain, near his lovely home. The area is absolutely gorgeous!

We parked at monoprix and then walked around town. I had a DELICIOUS lunch at a small resaturant. I had un sandwich mixe, une cafe, et tartellette framboise (a yummy raspberry tarte). It was my first real lunch out here, and it was wonderful.

After lunch he took me on a little tour.
We stopped in front of this huge church in St. Germain; but, I forgot the name of it, sorry!!

We went to the Chateau St. Germain... Where King Louis XIV was born. It wasn't big enough so he built Versailles afterwards! It was nice. There was an exhibit going on there on prehistorical artifacts. Very interesting. We also stopped in to the little chappel. It wasn't very decorative, but the building itself is just amazing.

The gardens were also beautiful, and you can see all the way to Paris. But a picture couldn't do it justice.

After our little tour, I happened to stumble upon a little cosmetics shop; although, I have forgotten the name of it. It reminded me of home; just like in Dillard's Houma, the Clinique and the Clarins counters are neighbors, as they were in this little shope. It made me think one of my best friends Lyndsey, who works for Clarins, so I just had to take a picture. Love ya Lynds!

I think that's all for now, but I'm sure I will have lots more pictures later. Hopefully I will be able to meet up with some students that are here already, or maybe a little shopping (:

À plus tard!
Kristen
